Fire Hydrant Testing

Thursday, May 7, 2009
-
The members of Gilead Fire & Rescue has begun our annual fire hydrant testing program.  The purpose of this program is to ensure that the fire hydrants have enough of pressure and can flow enough of water to provide fire protection to our citizens.  You will see our firefighters in the various neighborhoods testing the hydrants as well as flowing water.  If you notice a slight discoloration or dirty water, just flow water in your sinks and bathtubs and the problem will clear up in a few minutes.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call the fire station at 704-875-6266.
