Gilead Rescue 12

  • 1998 Ford F350 super duty 4x4
  • Rear cover and slide out tray built by Quesco.
  • Used to pull the fireboats, and responds to medical calls to reduce wear and tear on the Engine Companies.

  • Basic rescue equipment
  • 12,000 lb front mounted winch
  • 4 complete sets of  SCUBA dive rescue gear and comunications.

Gilead Rescue 13

  • Rescue #13 is a 2002 Ford Excursion 4x4.
  • Chief / training vehicle
  • It is used to respond to medical calls, tow the fire and rescue boats, and transport members to out of station training.
  • Car #13 is also a logistics and rehab vehicle for fire, rescue and dive incidents.

Gilead Brush 6

  • 1946 Dodge WC 4x4.
  • Rebuilt in 2005 by Irvin’s Body Shop in Huntersville.
  • 250 GPM pump
  • 250 gallon poly tank
  • Brush fire tools
  • Front mounted 8,000 lb winch
  • Responds to all brush and forest fires
  • Also used to remove patients from remote areas

  • Fireboat 1 was the first and only fire boat on Lake Norman and Mt. Island Lake for 8 of its 12 years of service. It is now supplemented by Cornelius Fire on Lake Norman and by Cooks V.F.D. on Mt. Island Lake
